Just 20 miles from Richmond sits Virginia’s largest State Park. Pocahontas State Park offers year-round environmental and historical programs that invite you and your group to experience the park through hands-on learning.
Standard field trips start at 10 a.m. and end at 12 p.m., with time for lunch afterwards. Students typically rotate through a number of stations, determined by the needs and size of the group.
We have several popular SOL-aligned field trip options, but we can create or modify any program to meet your specific needs. To receive our Field Experience guide, please email Rebecca.firstname.lastname@example.org or call (804)796-4472
Fees: Field trips, private group programs, outreach: $3/participant or $30/class, whichever is more cost efficient. No fees for Title 1 schools and parking fees for busses and all chaperones are waived for scheduled programs.
