Join us for the morning as we paddle wildlife-packed Back Bay. Back Bay is a slow moving and scenic watershed that meanders along maritime-forests and wind-driven marshes. On this adventure, we will see plants and animals rarely seen in the city and learn about the amazing history of the area. During paddles, we regularly see bald eagles, great egrets, great blue herons, cormorants, and many types of songbirds. If we are lucky, we could also spot some playful river otters swimming nearby. Don’t forget a water bottle.

All equipment is provided, and no experience is necessary.

Cost: $25 per person and a Back Bay Refuge entrance fee is required from April to October: $5 per vehicle, $2 per bicycle or pedestrian. Reservations are required and space is limited. To make a reservation please call the park at (757) 426-7128. *****Location detail: Meet at Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge for transport into False Cape
