This is a moment to relax and enjoy your visit even more. Make a souvenir to go with your memories. Before we craft, a ranger will give you some information about that day’s craft topic. These are all family friendly events, but also a good time for kids to have an activity while the parents are packing up. Or one last stop after checking out of a cabin. All materials will be provided and the type of craft will vary each month.

May – Leaf Printing: Using paint and the leaves provided to make a take home piece of art.
June – Brush Brush: Make your own paint brush using natural materials to paint a master piece of your own.
July – Pollinator Portraits: Make a mask or artwork about your favorite one.
August – Tree Cookies: Using these round cuttings from trees limbs where the rings are visible, participants will color a cookie to take home as an ornament.
September – Animals of the Night: Decorate a pine cone in the image of a bat or owl. *****Location detail: Acorn Loop Shelter
