Natural Bridge State Park might seem like it’s awfully far from the Chesapeake Bay, but all the water in Cedar Creek reaches the James River a few short miles from the arch. As part of the Upper James and Chesapeake Bay watershed, we need to think about what is getting into the water that reaches the rest of the world. Whether it’s litter, animal waste, petroleum products, or fertilizer, all of these affect the health of the environment across Virginia and around the world.
For Clean the Bay Day, join rangers for a morning clean up of Cedar Creek. We’ll be removing trash and debris from the creek and nearby trail. Wear appropriate shoes for walking in a creek and weather appropriate clothing. Bring water and sunscreen. For more information, call (540) 291-1330. ***Location Detail: Cedar Creek Trail
